This is a look at interesting stories about Williamston, Michigan. Until now, most of these tales have been long forgotten and never before told. Through years of research, I have assembled 18 chapters of tales about this mid-Michigan community. Stories about the Civil War statue in town that maybe should be of someone else to an extensive look at the long history of coal mining are featured in the book. Chapters also feature a popular physician who becomes a murder target, a violent liquor protest, the railroad's arrival in 1871, a Presidential candidate's visit, excerpts from an 1895 farmer's diary, early baseball, Chief Okemos, and the Williams family. A portion of the proceeds from each book sale are donated to the Depot Museum endowment fund, which I created. Published Oct. 2014 by www.schulerbooks.com
